This year marks 20 years since the first EMBO Lab Leadership Course, initiated by Gerlind Wallon at EMBO and delivered by Dr. CJ Fitzsimons and Sašo Kočevar. Over the years, it has evolved to meet researchers' needs and our growing understanding of leadership, human behaviour, and best research practices.
As the current custodian, I can confidently say the course has had a positive impact on the lives and research experience of many thousands of scientists. I'm deeply grateful to the talented trainers at EMBO Solutions and Leadership Sculptor for their skill, knowledge, and empathy.
To ensure another 20 years of impact – for all our courses – we're refreshing and enhancing our support for participants. This starts with our new branding and website – you'll notice our updated logo and colours in this newsletter. We're also launching a learning management system to provide ongoing guidance and practical tools beyond the course itself. As these improvements roll out, we'll keep you updated here.
